OUR PRINCIPAL
Mrs SARAH HUSSEIN
I am a distinguished educator with a Bachelor's degree and a Teaching Diploma from Alexandria University, Egypt. Further enhancing my credentials, I have attained a Tajweed certification from the Dar As-Salaam Institute, an esteemed organization accredited by Al-Azhar Ash-Sharif.
My professional journey spans over a decade of dedicated teaching and engaging with students across various age groups. My expertise is not only limited to classroom instruction; I have also contributed to curriculum development, ensuring a comprehensive and effective educational framework.Prior to my relocation to San Diego, I had the privilege of teaching at an International School, where I honed my skills in delivering high-quality education in Quran, Arabic, and Islamic Studies.
Currently, I serve as a devoted educator at Bright Horizon Academy, where for the past six years, I have been instrumental in nurturing and developing the Islamic foundation of our students through meticulous study of the Arabic language, alongside Islamic and Quranic education.
My commitment extends beyond the classroom; I am dedicated to fostering a nurturing and loving environment within my community. It is my earnest mission to empower our students with a robust Islamic foundation, guiding them towards a path of spiritual and intellectual enlightenment.

OUR TEACHERS & STAFF
MR. Omar Kabiri
Mr. Omar Kabiri teaches Islamic studies, Quran, and Qaidah Noorania for youth at Al Rashid EC Weekend Islamic School.
He is a student of knowledge and he studied under sheikh Saleh Al-Luhaidan. He has attended the classes of other scholars in Saudi Arabia. He has memorized 5 juz' of the Quran and continues to memorize insha'Allah.

Mr. Farouq Janabi
Mr. Farouq Janabi teaches boys aged 13 to 18 during the morning session at Al Rashid EC Weekend Islamic School. He holds a degree in Human Biology from the University of California, San Diego, and aspires to pursue a career in the medical field. With extensive experience as a student under various Shiekhs in the UAE, Farouq aims to educate and inspire the next generation of young Muslim leaders in their communities.
Mrs. Amira Nasrullah
Mrs. Amira Nasrullah, born and raised in Al Madina Al Monwara, studied the Quran, Tajweed, and Arabic there. With over eight years of teaching experience, she holds numerous Ijazat and degrees from the Imam of Masjid Nabwi Shareef. Amira has permission to teach the Quran from her five Quran teachers in Al Madina and currently teaches 8-year-old students in the morning session at Al Rashid EC weekend school.
Mrs. Zainab Al-Temimi
Mrs. Zainab Al-Temimi earned a bachelor's degree in Islamic Studies from the Sharia department at Baghdad University. She has worked as a teacher assistant at Bright Horizon Academic school for two years and as a Quran instructor volunteer at ICSD East County for one year. Currently, she teaches 7-10-year-old students in the morning session and 12-14-year-old students in the afternoon session at Al Rashid EC weekend school.
Mrs. Zinah Al Kilidar
Mrs. Zinah Al Kilidar holds a bachelor's degree in The World Islamic Sciences and Education from the 10th Quran recitations and studies. With ten years of experience as a Quran and Islamic Studies teacher, she currently teaches children aged 8 to 11 at Al Rashid EC weekend school, with both morning and afternoon classes. Additionally, she works as a paraeducator at Cajon Valley Union School District.
Mrs. Zinah Saeed
Mrs. Zinah Saeed earned a bachelor's degree in English Language Arts and an associate degree in Social Work. With eight years of experience at Cajon Valley Union School District, she is currently a teacher for 7-year-old students in the morning session and 14-year-old students in the afternoon session at Al Rashid EC Weekend School.
MRS. RAHMA KABAA
Mrs. Rahma Kabaa studied psychological counseling for two years in Syria and holds associate degrees in social work from Cuyamaca College. Currently pursuing her master's degree at the University of San Diego, she works as a teacher assistant in Cajon Valley District School. She is also working as a teacher at Al Rashid EC weekend school. She teaches beginners students, in the morning and afternoon sessions.
Mrs. Halat Qadir
Mrs. Halat Qadir teaches high school girls aged 15 to 18 in the morning session at Al Rashid EC weekend school. With twelve years of teaching experience in weekend Islamic schools in the US and abroad, she holds a bachelor's degree in Sociology and Education Studies from the University of California, San Diego. Halat is dedicated to helping her students learn and embrace their faith, becoming proud Muslims in their community.
Ms. Malak Janabi
Ms. Malak Janabi is an admin assistant in Al Rashid EC weekend Islamic school. She also helps the students to meet the class level expectations in the morning and afternoon sessions, focusing on Arabic, Quran, and Islamic Studies. With a degree in biology, she currently works as a dental assistant and is pursuing further studies to become a registered dental hygienist, driven by her passion for oral health and quality patient care.
MS. Hayat Al-shawi
Ms. Hayat Al-Shawi works at Al Rashid EC Weekend Islamic School as a teacher assistant for both morning and evening shifts. She is skilled in teaching the Arabic language and the Quraan to children, fostering their love for learning and helping them develop essential language skills. In addition to her teaching role, She studies at Cuyamaca University.
MRS. MARWAH RAMEED
Mrs. Marwah Rameed is studying social work at Cuyamaca College and volunteers at Liberty First Charter School. As an admin assistant and teacher assistant at Al Rashid EC weekend school, she helps teachers achieve their goals by teaching Arabic to beginners needing extra support to meet class requirements.
Mrs. Rasha Arafa
Ms. Rasha ArafaI holds a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from Alexandria University. Alongside her professional studies, she pursued her passion for the Quran, studying both Quran recitation and Tajweed in the UAE. She is dedicated to sharing this knowledge with others and has volunteered to help students improve their recitation of the Quran. She teaches Qura'n, Arabic, and Islamic Studies for beginners at Al Rashid EC Weekend Islamic School.
